My work exists in the pause between exhale and inhale. I paint lone figures suspended in vast, often surreal natural environments to explore solitude as a heightened state of perception. When a human stands dwarfed by forest, ocean, or sky, something shifts. The boundary between self and surroundings dissolves.

I work primarily in oil, building layers of atmosphere and light to create what I think of as "emotional landscapes."

I hope my paintings offer viewers a doorway into their own inner landscape — that private, often avoided place where solitude isn't emptiness, but clarity.
